Live timing and coverage: Final pre-season test day three

Follow live coverage of day three of the final pre-season test from Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya with F1i.

It is already the penultimate day of testing and Mercedes remains the benchmark in terms of mileage, but Williams took its turn at the top of the timing screens on Wednesday as Valtteri Bottas set the pace. While there is definitely more to come from Mercedes - with Lewis Hamilton unhappy with the balance on the soft tyre - it remains the benchmark in terms of mileage and pace this week.

Sebastian Vettel still holds the quickest time of testing from the first test, albeit on the ultrasoft tyre, and he enjoyed over 150 laps on day two. With Kimi Raikkonen being hit by reliability problems during two of his three days in the car so far, the Finn will be hoping to match Vettel's running on Thursday.

There were positive signs from McLaren and Renault on Wednesday, but Sauber struggled with its new car and Haas has had a very difficult start to the second test. 23 laps on Tuesday were followed by a solitary installation lap yesterday due to a turbo issue, with the team hoping to make up for lost time today.

With only eight days during which to test ahead of the first race, teams have been fortunate with dry and relatively warm weather conditions throughout the two tests so far. Thursday and Friday are again expected to see fair weather to end the week.

You can follow live coverage of both pre-season tests - including live timing - on F1i's live page here, while there are also galleries of all of the new cars.

Running will take place from 0900-1300 and 1400-1800 every day throughout the final test, which runs from March 1-4.
