Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has called for Renault to highlight "a clear direction" in order to help improve on a poor start to the season.

Renault started 2015 with drivability issues in Australia, with reliability also a problem throughout the opening races as Daniil Kvyat will use the third of his four power units this weekend in Bahrain. Horner has been vocal in his criticism of Renault after an uncompetitive start to the year, while Cyril Abiteboul claims a recovery plan can be put in place using the tokens available to the engine manufacturer.

Horner believes making that plan a clear one is key to any future success. Asked if he still has faith in Renault, Horner replied: "If you look at the facts of where we are, we're not in a great situation.

"But Viry has got a long history of success in Formula 1 and they've still got some very capable people there. At the moment, for whatever reason, that's not working.

"As Ferrari has demonstrated, things can be turned around pretty quickly when you've got a clear direction and a clear focus. Whatever we can do from our side, because we are reliant on each other, in order to assist Renault understand their current issues, there's no bigger priority."
