After going off in free-practice where he basically rectified the base of his car, Max admitted he wasn’t feeling very confident. In any case he didn’t have the means to slot in higher than row three. Much more comfortable in the race, he caught up to Räikkönen one tenth at a time , but was never in striking distance, after ruining Hamilton’s chances for a victory, when the Mercedes driver unfortunately came out of the pits behind him.
