The race in Monaco could have threatened to derail Hamilton's title charge but he dealt with the situation maturely and hit back in the best possible fashion with victory in Canada. Having again secured pole position - his sixth in seven races - Hamilton had the upper hand to keep Rosberg at bay despite his team-mate being a match for him in Montreal.
