Stoffel Vandoorne (P16): 5/10
Incapable of getting the pitifully slow McLaren out of the first drop zone, Vandoorne was even given a helpful tow by Alonso but to no avail. P15 on the grid after a gearbox change, he was then at the very dull end of the order after the double Toro Rosso retirement. Stoffel believed his team should’ve brought him in earlier. He managed to hold off Sirotkin and catch up to the struggling Sainz and then pass the Renault when the leaders were cycling through to put him down a lap.
