Valtteri Bottas, Sauber (P16): 5.5/10
We're used to seeng Sauber at the bottom of the timesheets, but this new trend of Valtteri Bottas finishing behind Zhou Guanyu is a worrying one for the Finn if he still has any hope of nabbing the remaining open seat at Hinwil for 2025. In fairness, there were mitigating circumstances - the Sauber was suffering brake issues that left Bottas up against it just to finish the race. He's probably wondering why he bothered.
Zhou Guanyu, Sauber (P15): 6/10
Business as usual for Zhou Guanyu; which is to say, another wretched time for the Chinese driver who deserves better than the C44 can offer. Surprisingly he wasn't dead last in either of Friday's practice sessions, but it was back to normal on Saturday and he started the race right from the back on a track where overtaking is hard for even the best of drivers. Brake problems for Valtteri Bottas lifted Zhou off the bottom in the race, and bad evenings for Pierre Gasly and Daniel Ricciardo meant his final position was a bit of a surprise. But nonetheless still firmly pointless.
