Alexander Albon, Williams (P12): 6/10
Albon failed to make it into Q3 for the first time this season, due to a strategic fumble by Williams in leaving the driver out in the pitlane for too long and losing tyre temperature as a consequence. In the race, Albon did well to extend his opening soft tyre stint and found himself in as high as fourth place by lap 15. His pace on the hard tyre was strong too, but the timing of the Safety Car couldn’t have been much worse for him, making it much more difficult for the Thai driver to climb back into the points.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes (P11): 6/10
Ever the aggressor, Antonelli has shown just how well he is able to overtake cars on track when the need arises in previous Grands Prix. However, this time round the Italian’s on-track aggression didn’t really work out. There were some great moves, like the one on Verstappen for seventh on lap 20, but just as many lock ups and time lost unnecessarily battling rivals on circuit. So a lot of overtakes but no points at the end of the day for the young Italian. Given the performance of his Mercedes, this was a poor result.
