F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2025 Bahrain GP

Gabriel Bortoleto, Kick Sauber (P18): 4/10

It’s difficult to judge exactly how well Bortoleto is doing behind the wheel of his Kick Sauber, simply because the C45 is far and away the slowest car on the grid at this present moment. The Brazilian languished at the foot of the field for much of the Grand Prix, and only found himself in the midpack after going long on his opening stint and being overtaken left, right and centre by drivers on fresher tyres. A race to forget for Bortoleto; here’s hoping Kick Sauber will bring some much needed upgrades soon.

Lance Stroll, Aston Martin (P17): 4/10

A supposed setup error cost Stroll during Qualifying, where he could only muster 19th on the starting grid. But one wonders if he could have done much better given a perfectly tuned Aston Martin, as the Canadian looked completely lost throughout the entire weekend. He was nowhere in the race either, although the AMR25 didn’t appear very competitive around the Bahrain International Circuit. After such a promising start to the season for the 26-year-old, it would be a shame for him to hit a rut so early in the campaign.
