1 - Comparing Ferrari’s 2014 and 2015 designs
For starters, the coolers inside the car’s sidepods have been repositioned. These were indeed almost vertical in 2014, which required cumbersome sidepods to vent the hot air, especially out of the rear of the F14 T.
This year, the SF15-T’s coolers are more horizontal with a flatter placement that adapts to their volume.
While this more conventional positioning helps trim down the car’s bodywork, it also makes air entry trickier because of a steep incidence angle (basically, there is a chance the airflow won’t go through the whole surface of the cooler).
