COMPACT COOLING PACKAGE

Upon looking at the picture of the Ferrari engine powering the Haas VF-17, one can assume that the compressor is fed with air channeled via the ducts hugging the radiator on both sides.

Once the air has been compressed, it would travel through the intercooler and slope downwards to the plenum thanks to the large duct one can see at the front of the engine, as shown on the indications above. This means that the cooling and compression cycle would be much shorter, though again more pictures are needed to be certain. One can also notice the wastegate exit pipe that is mounted higher than the turbine.
