Carlos Sainz has no doubts about who was responsible for Toro Rosso's first lap clash between himself and team mate Dany Kvyat.
The Spaniard was wheel-to-wheel with the Russian through Maggots and Becketts but says he was hit when the Russian, who had run wide, came back on to the track.
The contact put Sainz out on the spot while Kvyat ran his race, albeit after being handed a drive-thru penalty for 'rejoining the circuit in an unsafe manner'.
Sainz vowed to discuss the incident with his team mate behind closed doors but left no doubts as to who had been ultimately responsible for the contact.
"I'm not going to give any opinion about it because I think it's something that needs to be kept internally and to be analyzed internally," Sainz said.
"But I think the images speak for themselves, so I'm not going to comment.
"We were battling for sure, giving each other quite a lot of room, going through fast corners and giving each other room, then one car lost control and hit the other one."
Asked whether Kvyat's move and its dire consequences for himself warranted an apology, Sainz said once again that he would discuss the matter internally.
"It's something that will be discussed inside the team.," he said.
"I don't want to generate any problems because I think the team has enough with the two cars crashing in the first lap to now have someone talking about the other one."
