Nico Rosberg - 2nd place, 18 points: 7/10
One of Rosberg’s mantras in recent races has become the need for wins and he put himself in a good position to take a few more points out of Hamilton’s championship lead when he secured pole position. However, a poor start - later attributed to an overheating engine - allowed Hamilton to get on the inside and Rosberg actually hurt his chances further by trying to tough it out around the outside of Turn 2. When he was forced wide, Rosberg lost two further places and the rest of the race was about recovery, as he worked his way back to second place.
