In conditions that often create a surprise or two, Stoffel let his chance slip through his race gloves in qualifying. But, with his older chassis, the Belgian upped the pace to everyone's expected level. McLaren had both cars stay out as long as possible to run in the top ten. Vandoorne desperately needed the points and it was looking good when the gearbox broke. Will he have a seat for his home GP? Stay tuned !
