2015 F1 season: F1i’s drivers review 10-1

Verstappen story COTA

3. Max Verstappen - 7.64/10

The sensation of 2015, Verstappen makes a mockery of new regulations brought in to ensure drivers are of a certain age and experience before they can reach F1. Fast from the outset, Verstappen showed incredible feel on the brakes to quickly mark himself out as a driver who can pull off all sorts of overtaking manoeuvres.

As with any rookie year there were highs and lows, and some of the lows were very low such as his dangerous collision with Romain Grosjean in Monaco or his error-strewn race weekend at Silverstone where he never seemed comfortable before eventually retiring. But Verstappen is a quick learner as well as a quick driver, bringing consistency to his performances as the year went on. Scored in six consecutive races before a poor weekend in Abu Dhabi, but Verstappen has shown the moments of brilliance which mark out future stars and you just know many more highs await.
