F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2024 British GP

Charles Leclerc, Ferrari (P14): 5/10
Nothing went right for Charles Leclerc this weekend. He was distracted by Ferrari testing different specification bodywork on Friday which put him behind the curve for the rest of the weekend. Even so it was a surprise when he narrowly missed the final cut in qualifying. Starting from P11 he made an immediate step forward, gaining three places in the wake of first corner congestion caused by Nico Hulkenberg running wide and Alex Albon damaging his front wing on Fernando Alonso's Aston Martin. The team then misjudged the timing of the first rain arriving and pitted Leclerc too early for inters, and that ruined any chance he had of returning to the top ten thereafter.

Daniel Ricciardo, RB (P13): 6/10
This was a much better weekend for RB as a whole, but that meant Daniel Ricciardo slipped back behind his team mate Yuki Tsunoda from second practice onwards. Considering his low position in FP2 and FP3 it was a surprise when he made it into the second round of qualifying. However 15th on the grid didn't give him a great deal to work with, and he sprang no surprises during Sunday's race. He spent most of it staring at Logan Sargeant's rear wing and the vista only changed when the Williams passed Kevin Magnussen on lap 34. Ricciardo had no such luck following him pas the Haas and remained where he was, finishing as the first car off the lead lap.
