Franco Colapinto, Williams (P12): 7/10
With Alex Albon having a turbulent weekend, the responsibility for upholding Williams' honour this weekend fell to new boy Franco Colapinto. It was probably asking a bit too much of the Argentine, who didn't finish in the top ten at any point in practice and ended up missing the first cut in qualifying. A long first stint on the hard tyres gave him a fighting chance on Sunday and he was in the top ten before making his late stop on lap 47, but after that he found himself stuck behind Liam Lawson. The pair made contact on lap 65, but Colapinto came out of the clash without significant damage and was able to coast home in 12th place - still out of the points, but probably about as good as the team could realistically have hoped for.
Lance Stroll, Aston Martin (P11): 7/10
With this being Fernando Alonso's 400th Grand Prix weekend, the spotlight was off his Aston Martin team mate Lance Stroll who simply got his head down and contributed an unflashy weekend shift in the AMR24. It might have gone better if Stroll had been able to qualify higher than 14th right behind Alonso, but he made the most of the Tsunoda/Albon clash at the start of the race to leap up to P11 before the safety car came out. After Alonso's retirement, pitting on lap 27 put Stroll right at the back and he had to work diligently to regain lost ground. Ultimately he couldn't quite break into the points before the chequered flag but Not for want of trying.
