RED BULL’S GREASY WINGS

Since 2014, Mercedes has been spraying Teflon on the outer board and arches of its cars’ front wings. Recently, they started doing so on the fences on the front brake ducts. The idea is to prevent pieces of debris from getting stuck in the area, like it happened in Australia for Nico Rosberg.

While we thought the Silver Arrows were the only cars receiving such treatment, it appears that Red Bull has been doing the same, albeit with a greasy substance, which is now easier to spot thanks to the matt finish of the RB12 livery.
