F1i Driver Ratings for the 2025 Monaco GP

Oliver Bearman, Haas (P12): 5/10

Much like Colapinto, Bearman completed his full cycle of stops for fresh rubber early, coming in twice by the end of lap 19. He then joined the ever-growing queue of cars fighting for the minor points positions and stayed there for the remainder of the Grand Prix. He was unlucky to receive a ten-place grid penalty for overtaking under red flags during qualifying, as there was nothing he could do to slow down in time to avoid passing the slow-moving Sainz, but he only qualified in P17 anyway so it did little to change the outcome of his race.

George Russell, Mercedes (P11): 6/10

Russell’s points-scoring streak ended in Monaco, although one can’t really blame the driver for it. A technical issue during Q2 resulted in a P14 grid start for the Briton, and it was always going to be difficult to gain enough places to score points from such a position. Mercedes didn’t help improve Russell’s chances by keeping him out on hard tyres in a train, although they were hoping for a Safety Car or red flag to bring them back into contention. The Mercedes driver opted to receive a drive-through penalty by overtaking Albon off the track, with the hope of opening up enough of a gap to stay ahead of his fellow Brit after pitting twice. He pushed hard in the final handful of laps, but it wasn’t to be for Russell as he finished in P11.
