Lance Stroll, Aston Martin (P12) 6/10
Stroll’s qualifying was a snooze (P19, really?), but his race pace was a pleasant surprise. Nursing soft tyres to lap 29, he sliced through the field like a Canadian ninja. If only he could qualify as well as he races - imagine the possibilities!
Liam Lawson, Racing Bulls (P11) 6/10
Lawson’s race was quieter than a library, but not without grit. He sniffed Alonso’s gearbox late on, only to be foiled by tired tyres and no straight-line speed. A solid, if yawn-inducing, effort from the Kiwi just shy of points.
