Liam Lawson – RB (P14) 4/10
A lock-up at the start sent him spearing into Piastri, resulting in front wing damage, an early pitstop and an uneventful 49 laps at the tail end of the field. A pity given his excellent display in qualifying.

Pierre Gasly – Alpine (P13) 6/10
Outqualified Colapinto – which isn’t really a claim to fame – but spent fifty laps proving that horsepower still matters on the longest straights in F1. Fought hard for thirteenth place like it was a podium. Honest, tidy, ultimately pointless on a track that exposed Alpine’s weakness.
