Lewis Hamilton – Ferrari (P8) 7/10
From nineteenth on the grid to eighth at the flag, shrugging off an Albon collision and weaving through chaos in a Ferrari that finally appeared to have some legs. Not vintage, but pure seven-time-champion recovery material. And yet the Briton remains dejected by the bigger picture.

Nico Hülkenberg – Sauber (P7) 7.5/10
Started eleventh, made exactly zero mistakes and let everyone ahead crash or get disqualified. Drove away with a six more dollar-generating points in a car that has no business being seventh. The Hulk remains the most underrated driver on the grid.
