Sergio Perez, Cadillac (16th, +3 laps) – 4/10
Three laps down tells the story rather brutally for Checo. Cadillac’s early-season growing pains were obvious and expected, and Perez spent most of the race managing problems rather than racing rivals. The Mexican veteran will hope this was just the inevitable teething phase rather than a sign of things to come.

Carlos Sainz, Williams (15th, +2 laps) – 5/10
It was a quiet, rather underwhelming day for Sainz. The Williams – still overweight and suffering from teething issues – never seemed to have the pace to fight into the points and Sainz spent much of the race stuck in no-man’s-land.
