Max Verstappen, Red Bull (6th) – 8/10
A slightly subdued afternoon by the lofty standards of Max Verstappen. But the Red Bull charger was impeccable in the opening stages of the race, making up the lost ground from P20 on the grid to climb all the way to P6 by lap 10. And yet the RB22 never looked quite hooked up, with Max spending his race complaining about the balance, the grip, and probably the catering. Sill, a strong display from the four-time champ.

Lando Norris, McLaren (5th) – 7/10
Norris extracted a decent result from a race that never quite came to him. With his team-mate out before the start, Norris carried the McLaren charge alone and kept things steady. Not spectacular, but solid and productive. However, the gap to the front will be a major concern for the papaya squad.
