F1i Driver Ratings for the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix

Pierre Gasly, Alpine – 7/10

A strong, composed drive to P6. The lack of high-speed corners in Shanghai masked the car’s understeer, and Gasly was there to exploit it. Leading Alpine to their first double-points finish since 2024 was exactly what the team needed from their lead driver.

Oliver Bearman, Haas – 9/10

Stunning. Bearman claimed a midfield victory by finishing P5, and he did it on merit – keeping a recovering Verstappen behind him for laps on end. He navigated the "yo-yo" battery racing better than most veterans and is making that future Ferrari seat look more like a certainty than a possibility.
