F1i Driver Ratings for the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix

George Russell, Mercedes – 7/10

A solid P2 to secure the Mercedes 1-2, but Russell lacked the "wow" factor of his teammate. He struggled for grip on the Safety Car restart and was briefly swamped by the Ferraris. While he still leads the championship, being beat to the win by the teenager on the other side of the garage will keep him awake tonight.

Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes – 9.5/10

History made. The 19-year-old was peerless, converting pole into a maiden win despite losing the lead at the start. He re-took the place with a perfect move on Hamilton and managed the late-race tyre degradation like a veteran. His lock up into the hairpin could have cost him dearly. Still, the "Antonelli era" has arrived.
