If there was an award for ‘Most Improved Team’, then Ferrari would be right up there based on its pre-season showing. Having been fast throughout the first test - topping the times on three of the four days at Jerez - the team appears to boast a much-improved power unit compared to last season.
Race simulations show better consistency, which is highlighted by Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel being closely matched on race pace during testing, whereas Raikkonen struggled with the handling of last year’s car. Ferrari hit the ground running at the start of this year and should carry that momentum through in to the first race.
