Tech F1i Singapore: Bargeboards push to the fore


In addition to the bargeboard, the delayed (for budgetary reasons) introduction of the aerodynamic package by Force India includes a revision of the leading edges of the diffuser and the part of the floor located in front of the rear wheels.

The corners of the diffuser are more angular (compare the yellow arrows), and the “tongue” is now an extension of the first flap (and not an extension of the leading edge of the diffuser itself – see the red arrows). Ferrari made the same change at Silverstone.

The corner of the floor in front of the rear wheel has been raised (as on other cars including the Toro Rosso), while the slots in the floor were slightly modified.
