Just as Renault announced his replacement for 2018, Palmer put in, by far, his best race weekend. He could’ve moved on to Q1 had his tyres held up. The Briton put in a good start however, then made a slick move on Bottas in the wet. This was the driver many had been waiting for… but it could have all been a case of too little too late for Jo.
