Not moving on to Q3 after eighth best time in Q1, Nico confirmed Renault’s Silverstone struggles. He went with the mediums for the start and did a great job of avoiding the shards of carbon fibre left from the hectic start to gain several spots. Despite the constant pressure from Ocon, the Hulk didn’t budge and kept a tight grip on P6 to move up to seventh in the Drivers' championship.
