18. Will Stevens - 7.03/10
It’s easy to forget what a difficult situation the Manor drivers found themselves in early on. No pre-season testing, no running in Australia at all and Stevens was then unable to take part in qualifying or the race in Malaysia. Once he got out on track he was immediately quicker than Merhi and comfortably beat him in the opening three races both participated in.
Quick in qualifying - beating Merhi 9-3 and getting the better of Rossi too - Stevens was a safe pair of hands in the first half of the season but mistakes started to creep in as the season wore on and the American holds the advantage in terms of race results. Focused too much on single lap pace for most of the year but a late upturn in form showed he can offer more in races.
