17. Marcus Ericsson - 7.04/10
One of the drivers who will wish this reviews was only about the second half of the season, Ericsson took a while to get going this year. Had more experienced than team-mate Felipe Nasr (albeit in a Caterham) and had even tested the Sauber in Abu Dhabi last year but it was Nasr who hit the ground running in Australia. The early races were when the majority of Sauber’s points were scored as the team was at its most competitive, but Ericsson missed out - most notably spinning out of the race early in Malaysia when challenging Nico Hulkenberg for seventh place.
Ericsson’s form definitely improved as the year went on, with the Swede closing what had been a big qualifying deficit to trail Nasr 10-9 at the end of the season, and a good set of performances in the middle of 2015 saw him score in three consecutive races. However, none of those were for a big haul of points and he missed out on his best opportunities.
