15. Felipe Nasr - 7.12/10
In some ways a similar year to his countryman Massa, Nasr’s highs were high and his lows were low in a solid if unspectacular rookie season. Started with a hugely impressive fifth place in Australia which by his own admission unrealistically raised expectations, but was then off the pace of team-mate Ericsson in Malaysia. China saw Nasr take the bigger haul of points again as he scored more than half of his total in the first three rounds.
From then on the Sauber did get less competitive, but Nasr also got much more inconsistent and saw Ericsson fight back at him in both qualifying and race performances. What had been a largely disappointing rest of the year had a few good results before another big chunk of points for sixth place in Russia displayed Nasr’s ability to capitalise on the best chances. As a rookie, the inconsistency is understandable.
