Lewis Hamilton - 2nd place, 18 points - 8/10
The first signs of Hamilton cracking appeared after qualifying when he was dejected and downbeat having failed to run in Q3. Mercedes did an excellent job to get the power unit fixed for the race without breaking parc ferme regulations, and Hamilton avoided the Turn 2 collisions before pulling solid overtaking moves on Felipe Massa, Kimi Raikkonen and Valtteri Bottas to recover to second place - with the pass on the Ferrari a particular highlight. Threatened to make a race of it as he closed in on Rosberg before his back luck continued with a loss of water pressure forcing him to back off and bring the car home.
