Valtteri Bottas - 4th place, 12 points - 8/10
More like the Bottas we were used to seeing over the last two years, a good qualifying performance was followed by a race mixing it with Mercedes and Ferrari. Bottas pulled out a good lap to secure second on the grid after Sebastian Vettel’s penalty, and was alert on the safety car restart to jump Raikkonen having lost out at the first start. Defended well in the first stint but was powerless to stop Hamilton passing him after his pit stop and then took too long to clear the yet to stop Alonso, allowing Raikkonen to take third.
