Carlos Sainz Jr., Williams (P8): 7/10
While all of the headlines were on Verstappen after qualifying, Sainz had quietly managed to wrestle his Williams onto the third row of the starting grid, showing that he has all but fully embedded himself at the Grove-based outfit. The cameras were on the Spaniard quite a lot during the race itself, as he overtook numerous slower cars to climb back up into the points after a relatively early pitstop. Sainz was key in helping Williams secure a double points finish, as he kept teammate Albon within DRS range to help the latter stay ahead of a chasing Hadjar.

Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari (P7): 6/10
We wonder how much longer it will take Hamilton to get to grips with the SF-25. He is still markedly off the pace of teammate Leclerc, and was around a second a lap slower than the Monegasque when both were on the hard tyre in the second half of the race. The seven-time World Champion somehow found his mojo in the closing stages of the Grand Prix however, suddenly improving his lap times and closing in on Antonelli. But it was too late, and Hamilton ended the race where he started it.
