F1i Driver Ratings for the 2025 Spanish GP

Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Retired, lap 54): 5/10

Another lacklustre race for Antonelli, who despite showing promise early on in the season by matching teammate Russell, has now firmly positioned himself as the No.2 driver at Mercedes. The Italian rookie fell behind Leclerc on the opening lap, and was fighting the likes of Gasly and Hulkenberg rather than the Ferraris or his teammate between pitstop phases. After pitting for a second time at the end of his 49th tour, it seemed as though seventh was a guarantee for the teenager. Unfortunately an engine failure five laps later meant Antonelli couldn’t even score a point. Worrying times for drivers and teams with Mercedes engines, after Alonso’s power unit failure in Monaco a week ago.

Oliver Bearman, Haas (P17): 4/10

It was difficult to gauge Bearman’s individual performance at the Spanish Grand Prix, as Haas had absolutely no pace around the many long and fast corners of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. He did well to beat his more experienced teammate during qualifying, but simply didn’t have the pace to be anywhere near challenging for points.
