Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes (P16) 5/10
While Antonelli crossed the line in sixth position, 15 seconds worth of penalties relegated him to a P16 finish. Both penalties were justified, as he received ten seconds for his collision with Ferrari’s Leclerc following a poor overtaking attempt, and five seconds for speeding in the pitlane. It was a shame for the young Italian, who had profited from the timing of various Safety Cars to jump several drivers and move up into the points. He also showed good pace, closing in on Leclerc until the pair came to blows.

Gabriel Bortoleto, Kick Sauber (P15) 5/10
A poor getaway off the line compromised the rest of the afternoon for Bortoleto, who lost five positions on the opening lap. He also damaged his front wing while defending against the Aston Martin of Stroll, which likely resulted in a loss of performance. Like Gasly, the Brazilian briefly found himself in the top ten after the second Safety Car, but didn’t have the pace to stay there, ultimately finishing in 15th place.
