20. Jolyon Palmer - 6.28
As debut seasons go, Palmer’s was somewhat typical. A good first race in Australia was followed by struggles as he finished last in China - complaining of chassis problems - and then a slight recovery. His confidence was knocked again by a big crash at the start of the race in Monaco, but after that he made steady progress. Hungary was a good race until a spin, but he did finally get a point on the board in Malaysia and showed some encouraging signs later in the season.
