With Le Mans glory behind him and thoughts of a swig of milk at Indianapolis, perhaps sooner rather than later, no one would blame Fernando for a motivation drop with a woeful McLaren. But that is not how the Spaniard rolls. Starting from the pitlane with the bit between his teeth on Sunday, he benefited from attrition to score 4 points to stay ahead of the Renault boys and just behind Magnussen in the championship. His beloved La Roja squad may be eliminated, but never count out Fernando.
