Pérez was three-tenths of a second slower than his team mate in qualifying. On Sunday he put in a strong race thanks in large part to taking care of his tyres amid the heat. Sergio made his way into the top ten, despite not stopping during the VSC to go as long as he could during his first stint, while also showing he can be a team player in moving over for Ocon late in the going.
