F1i Driver Ratings for the 2025 Austrian GP

Max Verstappen, Red Bull (Retired, lap 1) 5/10

A 31-race points-scoring streak ended on Sunday for Verstappen, who was cruelly knocked out of contention by an overly ambitious Antonelli on the first lap of the Grand Prix. He didn’t really seem to care all too much though, and that’s likely due to the fact that his prospects for the race weren’t that high to begin with anyway. Once again, the Dutchman was unhappy with the balance of his RB21, and could only qualify in seventh position. So a win or even a podium were never on the cards, and that’s all that Max cares about.

Alexander Albon, Williams (Retired, lap 16) 5/10

There’s something clearly wrong mechanically with the Williams FW47. Albon also had a damaged floor during qualifying like his teammate, but managed to place himself in P12 for the Grand Prix. The Thai-British driver profited off of the chaotic opening lap to climb five positions up to seventh, and looked set for at least a top-ten finish. But yet another issue cropped up in his car, and he was forced to pull into the pits to retire on lap 16. A real shame.
