Jolyon Palmer - 15th place - 7/10
An excellent start so Palmer gain six places - including Magnussen on track - to run in seventh when his team-mate crashed. Pitting immediately, Palmer lost two places during the red flag period and was left with a train of faster cars behind him which soon demoted him to 14th. High tyre degradation meant he was unable to move forward again, but showed up well in the opening laps.
