Daniel Ricciardo - 2nd place, 18 points - 8.5/10
Described as “a superb race” by team boss Christian Horner, Ricciardo had as lonely a race as Rosberg after avoiding the problems at the start. Was third behind Nico Hulkenberg before the safety car period but benefitted from the red flag to get a free pit stop to run second from the restart. Kept Rosberg honest for a short while and then settled in to judge his pace with a threat from Hamilton behind. Managed his tyres well to stop once less than Hamilton and didn’t come under serious pressure, securing his third podium in a row.
