The Dane didn’t have luck on his side. In the top ten from the get-go, battling between Sainz and team mate Grosjean, Kevin was on track to score a few points when, following contact with Kvyat, he suffered a puncture four laps from the end. Like Romain, who he beat in qualifying, he switched too early to the mediums, which didn’t suit the Haas at all.
