Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari (P8) 7/10
Hamilton seems to have a thing for sprints. He and his team aced the strategy when the track started to dry, pitting for slick tyres before many others and finding himself in fourth after the rest eventually piled into the pits too. The seven-time World Champion then executed a brilliant overtake on Verstappen on lap 14 to claim the final podium spot. The Grand Prix was definitely a more difficult race for Hamilton. He started on the slower but more durable hard tyre, and this played a part in his struggle to overtake the Haas of Ocon for 22 laps. Once the Briton pitted for medium tyres he was the quickest car on track for a while, and easily caught teammate Leclerc in seventh. A typically comical Ferrari strategy fumble ensued, but it didn’t really affect the outcome of the race as both Ferraris were no match for the cars ahead of them on pace.

Charles Leclerc, Ferrari (P7) 6/10
The highlight of Leclerc’s weekend in Miami, unfortunately, was his crash on the formation lap of the sprint. Yes, the track was soaking wet and he became a passenger once he started aquaplaning, but why was he driving so fast around the wet circuit on the formation lap in the first place? Either way, neither Ferrari was going to get a decent result in the races anyway, and Leclerc couldn’t even match the pace of a Williams.
