Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes (P10) 5/10
It’s hard to believe that Hungary was Antonelli’s first points-scoring result since his podium at the Canadian Grand Prix almost three months ago. But it wasn’t exactly a stellar performance for the Italian at the Hungaroring. It was always going to be challenging for the Mercedes driver to salvage a decent result from 15th on the grid; he needs to work on his Saturday form to hold a candle to his teammate.

Max Verstappen, Red Bull (P9) 7/10
Whenever the cameras played on Verstappen, it was clear just how much he was struggling to control his RB21; it looked like a proper handful in Hungary. Considering this, the reigning Champion did well, performing more on-track overtakes than any other driver with a move down the inside of Turn 6 his favourite. If it wasn’t for an overly early pitstop he wouldn’t have had to get past that many cars however, and he ended the Grand Prix frustrated after getting stuck behind Lawson.
