F1i Driver Ratings for the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix

Gabriel Bortoleto, Kick Sauber (P6) 9/10

If at the start of the season, we would have been told that Bortoleto would be fending off Verstappen and keeping tabs with Alonso for fifth on the road we would have dismissed it as a far-off dream. But that’s exactly what happened at the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Brazilian obtained his best result of 2025 with a stellar result in what is still a wholly mediocre Kick Sauber car. One to look out for in the future.

Fernando Alonso, Aston Martin (P5) 8/10

Alonso very much ran his own race at the Hungaroring. Despite briefly holding fourth after streaking past Norris on the opening lap, the veteran Spaniard entered into a groove early on in the Grand Prix, putting in flawless laps behind the wheel and keeping Bortoleto and Verstappen firmly in his mirrors. He was far off the pace of the top four, but he never intended to challenge them from the beginning, instead focussing on securing ten points for himself and the team which he did with relative ease.
