2016 Mexican Grand Prix - Driver ratings

Motor Racing - Formula One World Championship - Mexican Grand Prix - Race Day - Mexico City, Mexico

Jolyon Palmer - 14th place - 8/10

Palmer could be forgiven for being unhappy ahead of the race after missing qualifying - where he felt he could make it through to Q2 - with a cracked chassis. Renault repaired the fault for Palmer to start from the back and he duly stopped at the end of the first lap to fit mediums and run to the end as Magnussen had done. Ran last overall for a spell before starting to make progress, but eventually faded and could do little to hold off the McLarens despite putting up a fight.
