Renault also unleashed a more sophisticated design for the turning vanes, which have become a three-element setup (compared to the previous two-pronged installation). With the Enstone factory still expanding, the team can now introduce updates faster. Development pace will play an even bigger role this year given how much scope for improvement there is to find in the new technical regulations.
One should also note that Renault tested new suspension elements in Baku, while working on its cooling package as well. The next big upgrade has been pencilled for next month’s British Grand Prix.
