Pierre Gasly, Alpine (P10): 7/10
Gasly got a bit lucky to finish in the points after Hulkenberg’s odd decision to pit. Nevertheless, the Alpine driver didn’t put a foot wrong all race. Running a low downforce setup, Gasly used the straight line speed advantage of his A525 to maximum effect, holding up quicker cars for pretty much the entire Grand Prix and putting in a commendable defensive display, with a single point the reward for his efforts.

Gabriel Bortoleto, Kick Sauber (P9): 6/10
It was a rather lonely race for Bortoleto, but he converted a recent uptick in performance from his Kick Sauber car into two valuable points with a ninth place finish around the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. The only time the cameras focussed on the Brazilian was when he asked to swap positions with his teammate in an effort to catch and pass Lawson directly ahead. Although a battle for eighth never materialised, he did well to finish inside the top ten.
